We are recruiting for a Senior Peer support worker to work across our Community Integrated Mental Health services (CIMHS) in Newham.

This newly created role is specifically for someone with experience of working as a Peer support worker either in ELFT, or in a similar organisation.

This is a great opportunity to further develop your career in Peer support, and to draw on your experience to optimise the contribution of Peer support to our teams and service users.


The Senior Peer support worker will work across the two CIMHS teams, spending time at both base locations and community venues.

As part of the role, you will support Peer support workers, help to oversee referrals and work with peers accessing CIMHS teams.


The Senior Peer support worker will:

  • Work directly with peers open to CIMHS teams
  • Help streamline processes and procedures within CIMHS, to optimise the value of Peer support
  • Work closely with team members as an ambassador for recovery
  • Deputise for Peer support Borough Leads in relevant projects and meetings
  • Provide guidance and support to other Peer support workers
  • Provide training to Peer Support Workers, staff and people who use the services
  • Support recruitment, induction and provide shadowing opportunities for new Peer Support Workers
