- What you'll do daytodayIn your placement year, you'll be responsible for a variety of support and project work across a wide range of technology, including but not limited to Windows PCs and servers, UNIX servers, mobile devices, cuttingedge storage and clustered computing solutions, and several communications platforms. Support and project work may include troubleshooting complex technical issues, administration of various infrastructurelevel systems, and implementing automation and efficiency improvements. You will also work closely with other engineering teams to support and deploy onpremise and cloud services. Successful team members are resourceful, with a keen ability to combine independent research, prior experience, and critical analysis to resolve unfamiliar problems and advance challenging work.
- Who we're looking for
- Students in their penultimate year of study who are eligible for an industry placement as part of their degree.
- Applicants should have basic knowledge of the onpremise and cloud Microsoft enterprise environment and a demonstrated interest in improving processes and technology. Familiarity with general systems administration, experience in a Linux environment, and experience with Python, PowerShell, and/or other scripting languages is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are critical, as the role involves working with global colleagues across a diverse set of backgrounds, experiences, and projects.
