Quest Search & Selection is currently recruiting for a global leading multimodal & logistics company. They provide robust solutions for B2B across road sea and rail across the continent. They employ over 600 globally to ensure a reliable service and efficient trade flow management around the world.
Responsibilities of this Procurement Lead - (Supply Chain & Logistics)
role:
- Support the implementation of state-of-the-art methods, processes, and tools related to strategic procurement, including material group management, supplier management, framework agreements, and best-cost country sourcing.
- Take a personal lead in key negotiations, fostering effective communication and collaboration throughout the procurement process.
- Being at the forefront of the spend optimisation strategy and making savings across the group.
- Lead a team of circa 6 people within Road, Marine, Rail and Category etc.
- Lead and be management within a matrix structure with global points of contact.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement a robust category and supplier management structure.
- Develop and execute appropriate strategies, aligning with colleagues from production units and buying teams to drive spend optimization and create value for customers.
- Analyse procurement data to identify savings opportunities for each category/supplier and derive negotiation strategies.
To be successful in this Procurement Lead - (Supply Chain & Logistics) -**- You must have a minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in a roles such as Head of Senior Procurement, Procurement Lead, or Senior Category Manager.
- This is a large global player in the market with spend reaching 500,000 million Euros, so would be looking for someone in a similar size organisation.
- Working in a Logistics and Supply Chain is highly desirable, but other blue chip FMCG and consumer brands would be highly considered.
- Ideally you have worked within a business with a lead office or large Hub in Europe.
- Needs to still be hands on, flexible in approach, good internal stakeholder experience (they work in a matrix model) and able to work with different cultures, team and people to gain results.
- Happy to look at someone ambitious looking for their next step to a Head of position.
- Exhibit excellent communication, engagement, and influencing skills, along with a persuasive personality capable of gaining support at all organisational levels.
- Demonstrate a robust understanding of procurement processes, tools, procedures, and best practices, coupled with a handson approach.
- Excel in managing multiple projects and priorities within a fastpaced environment.
- Is happy and flexible to travel as there is weekly travel within Europe
- Bring handson negotiation experience to the table
