The successful applicant will be operationally accountable to the Key Account Manager be supported by the internal ISS Operations Performance dietetics team.
As part of your key responsibilities, you will represent the company's Patient Catering & Dietetic team as a brand ambassador, maintaining our high standards at all times.
Your dedication will ensure compliance with the patient catering specifications, meeting the diverse food and beverage needs of our patients.
Additionally, you will spend equal time across SLaM sites, actively engaging with onsite catering teams to foster clear communication regarding any changes, developments, or projects.
Furthermore, close collaboration with catering teams across all sites, ISS management, and trust dietitians will be integral to address and resolve any catering and dietetic issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure we are meeting the patent catering specification to deliver on patient's food and beverage needs.
- Spend equal time across SLaM sites liaising with the onsite catering teams, ensuring good communication in relation to any changes, developments, or projects.
- Liaise closely with the catering teams across all sites, ISS management and trust dietitians on all catering/dietetic issues.
- Menu planning for both therapeutic and standard menu cycles. Taking the lead on menu reviews in line with the ISS menu review process, organising tasting sessions and planning to keep key target dates
- Make changes to the menus, communicating with suppliers/design team and printers. This includes nutritional analysis, ensuring the menu is up to date in saffron, dietary coding and implementing the overall seasonal menu review process
- Implementation of the ISS patient catering and dietetics policies and processes e.g. Great food and Beverage Services Guide, My Guide and various policies
- Drive the development of key contract KPIs i.e. pictorial snack menus, translations, CHO information for menus as examples
- Ensure the beverage and snack service is undertaken in a timely and safe manner using an appropriate audit tool
- Ensure the 24/7 meal process is being delivered on
- Ensure waste audits are undertaken, collate and report on the results
- Become familiar with and ensure the Nutrition Assistants are using the EMOS system correctly.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Degree in Dietetics or relevant degree with Diploma in Dietetics
- HCPC Registered Dietitian
- Food Safety qualification at a minimum of level 3 (can be taught by ISS)
- Experience in a foodservice/catering environment would be preferable
- Experience in a clinical environment
- Excellent communication both oral and written with the ability to produce high quality work
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team
- Menu planning, nutritional analysis and dietary coding
