An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Safeguarding Team for Children & Adults Services.


The post holder will be responsible for delivering an effective and efficient support service to the Safeguarding Team; this will include comprehensive secretarial and administrative duties, diary & data management, minute taking and the production of letters, reports and minutes.


The successful applicant:


  • Will be able to use their own initiative and have an eye for detail.
  • Be computer literate and have an intermediate level understanding of MS Office.
  • Minimum of 2 year administrative experience.
  • Excellent secretarial, organisational, data entry and keyboard skills.
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines, changing and challenging situations, whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Be able to handle a number of tasks simultaneously and complete all of the tasks in an effective manner.
  • Arrange, attend and take minutes of meetings.
  • You will need to be enthusiastic, have good problem solving skills, be creative and innovative in your approach, and work well under pressure.
The post is for 22.5 hours per week preferably worked Wednesday to Friday.


The Safeguarding Team consists of 4 specialties (Adult Safeguarding, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Child Protection) with a admin team to support day to day admin duties.


The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the administration for the RBFT Safeguarding Team (Learning Disabilities/Mental Health/Adults).


The post holder will be required to have advanced knowledge of information sharing and data protection to ensure extremely sensitive data is secure.

The purpose of the role is to provide a coordinated and proactive administrative service to the Safeguarding Team including Child Protection, Adult Safeguarding, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Transition and Child Death
