Assistant Merchandiser - Jewellery/Accessories - M&S Account


Do you have an eye for fashion and a head for numbers? Due to exciting growth, we are pleased to have a fantastic opportunity available for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our successful Merchandising team at DCK in our Billericay office.

This is a full time position with 2- 3 days working in the office (Central London/Billericay) and the rest remotely.

Due to exciting growth, we are pleased to have a fantastic opportunity available for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our successful Merchandising team at DCK in our Billericay office.


You will

  • Continually review brand trading performance, to potentialise any emerging trends, or missed opportunities and make recommendations to the merchandiser.
  • Manage key lines to achieve optimum stock levels through forecasting and line management, including the proposal of new and dropped options in order to drive profitability
- prepare weekly trading analysis, including trade summaries and propose actions for discussion in trade meetings. Review and propose repeats and cancellations based on current performance and targets to increase full price sell through and reduce terminal stock.

  • Manage the exit process including markdowns, reclass and recalls to meet markdown, terminal stock and profit plans.
  • Produce and update all communication documents for internal and external teams to ensure all functions have clear and timely details of decisions to launch promotions/markdown and launches in line with the critical path and brand plans.
  • Resolving or escalating delivery/stock issues helping the team and brand to meet stock targets.
  • Communicate and collaborate cross functionally with other business areas, building relationships to complete tasks in a timely manner to ensure efficiency within the brand and business.

  • Support the team with the management of work and development needs, ensuring training needs are met and tasks are completed accurately, with required compliance and achievement of timelines.

About you

  • Demonstrated previous Merchandising experience
  • Knowledge/Experience of/in the fashion industry
  • Analytical with working excellent knowledge of MS Excel
  • Excellent numeracy and ability to interpret data
  • A strong communicator who can build relationships with other functions and problem solve
  • A knowledge of retail market, preferably with retail experience.
