Are you a qualified financial accountant with an insurance or financial services background looking to broaden / diversify your skillset?
Reporting to the Syndicate Financial Controller, the responsibilities for this position include:

focusing on syndicate operations and reporting financial performance on both GAAP and an Underwriting year basis, with focus on financial KPIs, analysis and narrative reporting. This will also include ad-hoc analysis and special projects
Finance Team Data
Provide quality reporting to assist decision making and preempt questions asked by peers
Reconcile technical data to the SUN General Ledger (GL) and provide analytics that confirm balances are as expected
Provide ratio driven analytics and comparatives of the business portfolio
Regulatory reporting builds for Lloyd's returns such as QSR, ASR, QAD, ASB, QMA, TPD, GQD
Internal reporting to provide audit to balance sheet positions
Month End
Run PostBox process (FDW to GL)
Assists in closing Financial Datawarehouse (FDW)
Update and load custom writing and earning patterns to the FDW
Upload manual adjustments to the FDW
FWD Build
Create DevOps tickets for key components required in the FDW to perform statutory and regulatory accounting processes
Analysis of unmapped target dimensions in the Financial Data Warehouse (FDW) and remediation prior to month end including collaborating with remediators
Governance
Assist with SOX controls / process note delivery
Adherence of Finance to enterprisewide data governance
Lead by example with governance processes such as managing the availability, usability, integrity, and security of data
