Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are partnering with a Multi Academy Trust in order to recruit a Finance Manager for 3-6 months.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong financial and technical experience to support the Finance Director and Principal.

There is potential for this position to become a permanent appointment.


Role:

As Finance Manager, you will provide support to the finance function of the Academy Trust. You will assist with all aspects of development and effective operation of financial systems and procedures.

You will also be responsible for overseeing academy budgetsetting and monitoring, departmental budget, costing activities and development of budget profiles.


Duties will include;

  • Providing high quality financial advice and guidance budget holders and the Senior Leadership Team across the trust
  • Supporting the Finance Director in the preparation and implementation of financial forecasts, business plans, reports and returns
  • Supporting the Finance Director in monitoring all budgets and the productions of regular comprehensive management reports
  • The development and delivery of the three year financial plan and identifying additional sources of external revenue and funding
  • Preparing the annual budget
  • Ensuring the trust remains compliant with VAT requirements, including monitoring the VAT status and ensuring that VAT returns are submitted in line with HMRC guidelines

Person:


  • Fully qualified accountant(CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CIPFA) or QBE
  • Management accounting experience is essential
  • Have the gravitas to work with the Senior Leadership Team
  • Hold the right values to work within a social organisation
