Role Overview


Campari Group is looking for a National Account Executive (Grocery) to join the Commercial team based in London, United Kingdom.


This role requires a commercially minded, customer and consumer focused individual with the ability to quickly build internal and external relationships to support delivering the Grocery strategy across key focus accounts.

They will need to act with a customer-centric approach to deliver key commercial and brand KPI's.

This is a key role which has the potential to take on increased P&L responsibility after commercial grocery foundations have been established, with a clear path to gain all key functional capabilities to progress onto a National Account Manager role.


Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Support NAC in implementation of business strategy in focus accounts
  • Tracking external brand and category performance to identify opportunities & threats for current and future portfolio
  • Maintain a strong awareness and understanding of competitor activity across focus accounts and total channel. Support wider team by consisently sharing this insight within the team and crossfunctionally
  • Be key contact for external trading assistants leading all external administration to ensure businesses are aligned e.g. pricing, promotional plans, forecasts
  • Step change the Campari relationship with focus customers by developing collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders within their business inc. outside of commercial
  • Support NAC on monthly forecasting and Risk & Opportunity identification & commercialisation
  • Monitor stockholding of focus accounts to highlight SKU's externally where the position could be improved and internally highlight where this would impact future forecasts
  • Work collaboratively with other functions in the Campari UK business, including Channel & Customer Marketing, BI, Finance and Marketing teams

Experience and Skills

  • Experience_

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the UK drinks industry / FMCG
  • Strong understanding of the UK Grocery Trade and Major Retail Accounts
  • Evidence of successful insightled initiatives and excellent execution
  • Skills:_

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insight from data
  • Robust commercial understanding, good numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
