Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Graduate Controls Engineer to join our team, working within engineering and manufacturing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing PLC code and software for projects, working on PLCs and other tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Working within the existing engineering automation technical team


• Developing PLC code and software for projects


• Always looking at identifying areas for improvements


• Commissioning activities and testing


• Working from electrical schematics


• Integrating PLC code


• Fault finding and resolving any issues

Required Qualifications

• Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical and Electronics Engineering


• Have knowledge or experience of working with PLC systems ideally or an interest in working with them – Beckhoff or similar


• An interest in software engineering would be ideal – any previous exposure to C++, Java or similar (this could be in your hobbies too)


• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team


• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
