Junior Analyst who has an interest in media researchto join their team based in
Central London.

Our client is a thriving company providing specialist media measurement solutions.

They work with a wide range of clients delivering both long-term contracts like BARB and RAJAR, and ad hoc projects.

They are proud that they have been a BARB TV audiencemeasurement contractor since 1989.


About the role:


As their Junior Analyst, you will support key audience measurement contracts, with a mix of ongoing and ad-hoc work as well as development projects to enhance the service delivered to clients.

Key responsibilities as their
Junior Analyst will include:

For BARB Bureau

  • Running and checking regular jobs (from databases and excel files) and updating templates as specified and check files when changes are made
  • Regular jobs include BARB Universe distribution, BARB Share of Viewing Reports and Establishment Survey Reports on Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly cycles
  • This role would also support any additional ad hoc work, such as BARB tests as and when required

For RAJAR

  • RAJAR data is produced to a fixed timetable on a monthly cycle
  • This role offers the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the RAJAR production run on a monthly basis. It would include setting up ready for new data, loading data onto the database, data production and analysis.
It would also include data analysisof results and identifying data discrepancies along with producing quality control reports

  • Data production or reporting outside of BARB and RAJAR may be required

Assistance and Cover

  • Supporting the Technical Client Services Manager and the RAJAR Technical Analyst on all aspects of both operational and client service activities

What they are looking for in their Junior Analyst:

  • An interest in media measurement and an understanding of the importance of the data produced by our client
  • You must be numerate, analytical and inquisitive in nature with the ability to recognise data inconsistencies
  • Personable with clear communication skills (written, visual and spoken) and comfortable with working with a variety of internal and external clients
  • Adept at problemsolving
  • You will be able to work autonomously, be confident in your abilities and not be afraid to question data
  • You will be organised, have meticulous time management and be able to plan to meet deadlines
The following skills would be useful, but training can be given:

  • Oracle PL/SQL -A basic knowledge of PL/SQL is needed to be used when operating the RAJAR database


  • Advanced Excel

  • This is required to work on regular and adhoc projects to deliver accurate, concise reports direct to the client, including the automation of regular reports
