GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND ILLUSTRATOR (MATERNITY COVER) DG1 1NA

Maternity Cover from June 2024 to April 2025(TBC)

Border Signs & Graphics have a maternity cover vacancy for the above position at their signage production facility in Dumfries.

We are looking for a competent, conscientious individual who is a team player, can work on own initiative and within a small team in a fast-growing signage business.

The position will require some experience and understanding in Interpretation Design, a background in graphic design would be useful along with knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

The role also requires liaising with clients, working with their ideas and managing their expectations from an initial brief proposal through to developing design layouts and concepts, print and production, a knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process would be useful.

Projects will vary so the ability to adapt is a must while working closely with the production team, suppliers and customers to ensure deadlines are met.

Good clear communication skills are key and providing attentiveness and assistance to customers before, during and after purchase.

Competency in IT skills, problem solving and a confident professional pleasant manner when conversing with customers are key attributes Border Signs & Graphics are looking for.

Salary £11.00 to £12.00 per hour depending on experience

Working remotely is not possible.
