Main Purpose
- To Support all procurement processes and transactions for Sarclad Limited.
- To provide efficient and costeffective sourcing of goods, equipment, and materials.
- To ensure that all purchased items are the desired quality and specification in every respect, with due consideration to health, safety and environmental factors.
Responsibilities
Daily, weekly and monthly tasks including;
- To ensure visibility of all items within the supply chain to ensure timely supply of materials, goods and equipment in line with our right partright time program.
- To support production to meet the required delivery dates and allow shipment of units and spares OTIF through expediting and substituting where required to meet critical timelines
- To develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to
- _nullify lead time risks_
- _create mutually beneficial price break arrangements_
- _deliver business plan objectives_
- _initiate non-conformance reports and corrective actions in conjunction with Quality
department_
- _share long term strategic growth of partnerships_
- To negotiate best possible terms and costs with all suppliers
- To mitigate risk from single source suppliers through proactive investigation of alternatives
- Work with design team to identify alternatives and substitutions when shortages occur
Knowledge and Experience
The jobholder must:
- Be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience of working at transactional and strategic levels across all functions in a fastmoving environment.
- Be able to demonstrate successes in developing supplier relationships, managing vendor performance and successful negotiations, internationally.
- Be a good teamplayer but equally capable of operating under his/ her own initiative.
- Possess suitable qualifications for the position, ideally CIPS Level 6 and with excellent communication and IT skills.
- Dynamic approach to mitigate against Global Supply Chain constraints
Preferred but not essential:
- Have previous experience of working in a 'Continuous Improvement' environment and using CI tools to help solve problems
- Have experience of procuring electronics components and working with the Siemens supplier base
- Worked in the capital equipment sector
- Have used the Progress Plus MRP system or similar

£25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
