We are seeking an ambitious, savvy senior analyst seeking to make a strategic impact within a fast-growth aviation business unit of a global satellite company at the forefront of maritime, aviation, government and enterprise communications.


Working for an influential Strategy Vice President, this is a stand-alone position supporting the development of structural reporting, knowledge sharing and intelligence provision to the Aviation Business Unit focused on competition, customers, market trendsand overview within a dynamic in-flight connectivity market.


You'll touch upon an exciting range of business lines - from commercial aviation passenger Wi-Fi, aircraft operations and safety, to Advanced Air Mobility solutions - providing data, intelligence and analysis where often little market analysis exists tosupport critical decision making up to Executive Leadership Team level.


Other responsibilities include desk-based research for ad hoc projects, such as airline briefs for commercial teams or market modelling; managing relationships with external consultants and data vendors; and internal knowledge management.

You'll be givenplenty of autonomy to both do this and suggest improvements.

Essential

  • BSc in Economics, Analytics, Econometrics, Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Experience / knowledge of the aviation, telecommunications or satellite industry OR equity research
  • Background in Market Intelligence (MI) and/or Business Intelligence (BI)
  • Highly analytical and excited about data
  • Able to handle large amounts of data and convert complex unstructured information / data sources into easily understood deliverables and communicate these clearly and concisely to colleagues
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau skills
  • Ambitious, motivated and excited to excel and grow
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Results oriented problem solver and team player
