Due to the recent award of a number of major projects, Domino Commercial Interiors is now in an exciting period of significant growth and as such, we are recruiting for a
Trainee Estimator.

The
Trainee Estimator role involves working with both internal and external stake holders, and primarily involves the creation of a Client brief, estimating detailed costs from first principles, preparation of subcontract work packages, analysis of returned quotes and tender submissions

Essential Skills and Experience

IT skills
Microsoft Office Excel
Effective communication skills, written and spoken
GCSE B (6)
Good numerate skills for calculating and analysing
GCSE B (6)
Able to work in a pressurised environment
A systematic and tidy mind with an ability to concentrate for long periods on details

Desired Skills and Experience

Knowledge of the construction industry
Have the ability to work unsupervised
Have the ability to think through problems quickly
Have the ability to meet tight deadlines and objectives
Be customer focused

The role will also involve an element of site visits across the UK supported by a Business Development Manager, therefore a driving licence would be an advantage and a confident, professional approach is essential.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:45am - 17:15pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break although you will need to be flexible as the needs of our clients may demand additional hours to ensure we meet their brief.

Holiday entitlement is 20 days plus statutory holidays.
