Job Introduction_

The role of the _
Machine Operator/Minder_ _is responsible to follow standard operating procedures with materials i.e., (Cartons, and Foil). You will ensure the machine is kept to the highest standard and are responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and operating the Machine. You will be responsible for cleaning, checking quality and carrying out changeover of materials, to ensure the Machine works as it should. You may be involved in collecting downtime data, depending on what machine you are running as well as maintaining the quality throughout by checking print and packaging and adhering to safe working practices. The machine minder will form part of the line crew and will adopt Production Operator duties if your machine is not running._

- _Have good communication skills to interact with fellow team members and be able to work as part of a team._
- _Reliability is key to this role, excellent attendance and punctuality is a necessity._
- _Ensuring the smooth efficient running of the machines and escalate to Team Leader/Supervisor of equipment failure or issues._
- _Work closely with the Team Leader in terms of compliance to plan and adhering to compliance and quality rules_
- _Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene, appearance, and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and company regulations is maintained. Wear company uniform as specified and correct PPE as appropriate to task and training_
- _Ensure compliance of clean as you go/ good housekeeping_
- _Ensure all Health & Safety Procedures are adhered to and carry out safety checks on the Machine._
- _Provide cover in other areas in times of sickness or holidays when requested to do so by Team Leader/Supervisor. This may include working on other shifts to cover the role on occasions._
- _Will come from a Manufacturing background with previous experience. However, Magna will provide on job training for this role._

What's on offer:_

Magna is a 24hr, 7 days a week operation, so work is 12hr days a set 3 days or 3 nights per week, however you will have to be flexible to work every second Sunday for Days and every 2nd Saturday for nights._

- _You can choose the shift pattern that suits you from Days & Nights set out by Magna._
- _Shifts start 7.30 to 7.30._
- _£12 per hour day shift, and £ % for night workers._
- _You will have 3 x 25 min breaks throughout your shift._
- _Coach from Wolverhampton to bring you to work and take you back. Cost of £6.80 per shift. _
- _Temporary contracts to March 2025._
- _Average holiday pay._
- _Auto-enrolment pension._
- _Refer a friend scheme._
