The role
As a Project Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

As improvement practitioners within the Warships Support Value Stream as part of the Transformation Programme, we seek to challenge current ways of working through modernising working practises, adopting innovative solutions and introducing technology to improve service delivery, whilst meeting the exciting challenge of supporting our customers in delivering high operational availability and capability against tightening financial constraints.


Day to day, you'll:

  • Scope, assess, plan, execute, monitor, and report to Project Manager and senior management their assigned projects.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Leads and enact actions which further improve the delivery of the programme.
  • Work with projects to track and support project benefits realisation.
  • Provide the Transformation programme with reporting, stakeholder management, and maintain relationships across the business unit.
  • Arrange, facilitate and support programme briefing sessions and presentations to key stakeholders.

Essential experience of the Project Lead:

  • Demonstrable evidence of seeking and implementing improvement within a business function.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate at all times to ensure the success of their projects.
  • A track record of developing good working relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications for the Project Lead:


  • Engineering/Business Degree level qualified or relevant experience.
  • APM Project Management or relevant experience.
