We are currently recruiting for a
Director of Sales to join the Senior Leadership team and lead the sales and events team at the
Delta Hotels By Marriott Forest of Arden.

The Role:


As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the Sales department, creating and executing the hotel's sales plan on an annual basis to support the hotel's business plan and financial targets by market segment and execute growth in all areas.

You will identify and explore new market segments and have a proactive sales technique, your commercial acumen will allow you to take calculated risks.

As Director of Sales you will grow relationships with current clients and build relationships with new contacts.


Our Director of Sales will report to the Hotel's General Manager, the Senior Events Manager will report directly into you and you will work with them to manager the Sales and Events team.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Determines and develops marketing collateral and communications
  • Recommends and sets sales goals for Sales and Events team
  • Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Reviews the Strategic Alignment Review (STAR) report, competitive shopping reports and uses other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotel's market position.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understands the overall market competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
  • Ensures that the Senior Event Manager and their team are working effectively and efficiently to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Monitors the effective resolution of guest issues that arise as a result of the sales process by creating mechanisms to channel issues to property leadership and/or other appropriate stakeholders.
  • Identifies, trains and mentors associates within the Sales and Events teams and builds a pipeline of future talent.
  • As part of the Senior Leadership Team, support the General Manager and Peers to ensure a flawless guest experience is delivered throughout the hotel and
