About the Practice/Department/Team
Joining our team here at Oundle surgery presents an opportunity to be part of a great team. We are a practice with a population of 11,000 patients. It is a very fast paced working environment and this makes it an exciting and rewarding place to work.


Job Introduction

What you will do
You will be assisting and directing patients toward the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way


Duties include:

  • Processing appointment requests from patients for on the day and future appointments
  • Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery
  • Registration of new patients computer data entry and medical records
  • Ensure building security

Essential Criteria
We are looking for somebody with;

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Great telephone skills
  • The ability to use their own initiative
  • The ability to work as part of an integrated and multiskilled team
Ability to manage the general public in a caring and courteous manner
