Do you want to use your Barista skills for good?

We are looking for Barista Supervisors to join our team at Leaps & Grounds, the newest social enterprise from the British Red Cross.

Our mission is to help craft the careers of women who have experienced forced displacement. With the support of Caravan Coffee Roastery, we train female refugees to become baristas.

Our trainee baristas work at our coffee pods, selling great coffee to the public, and we are looking for barista supervisors to work alongside our new trainees.

Why have we set up Leaps & Grounds?
Employment is critical for refugees when rebuilding their lives in their new home. Entering work is beneficial for independence, wellbeing, and integration.

Yet refugees in the UK face massive barriers to entering work, as seen in the shockingly high unemployment rates of refugees.

This number is even higher for refugee women.

We launched Leaps & Grounds to empower our trainees in overcoming these barriers. We do this through a blend of paid employment, training, and 1-2-1 mentoring.
