This is an exciting opportunity to lead an established Resuscitation training team within the Trust, working with the other Resuscitation officers to provide expert advice, training and oversight on all aspects of Resuscitation.

They will also work collaboratively with other teams within the Trust to ensure that we comply with National guidelines as well as local targets for our compliance to training.


  • To have a strategic overview of Trust wide resuscitation services.
  • To take the strategic lead in all aspects of organising, evaluating, planning and delivering the daytoday training of basic and advanced life support resuscitation for the multidisciplinary work force within Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and external agencies
  • To manage the activities of the Resuscitation Officers and the administration team across sites.
  • To provide professional and personal support to the Resuscitation Officers and administration team. Creating a service that is patient focused and achieves all elements of Clinical Governance.
  • To provide leadership and direction to all clinical staff, demonstrating an understanding of personal and professional needs of individuals and teams.
  • To investigate untoward incidents involving resuscitation.
  • To provide and ensure the provision of safe, high quality patient care.
  • To be a member of the Trust Resuscitation Committee. To provide professional advice on resuscitation attempts, training, techniques and equipment.
  • To take the lead when working alongside other members of the Resuscitation Service in assessing the training needs in relation to resuscitation of the multidisciplinary work force within Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
  • To provide expert advice to all areas of the Trust concerning resuscitation related directives, national initiatives and changes in protocols and guidelines.

Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.
