Event Co-Ordinator - Hickstead Showground
The All England Jumping Course is one of the world's leading equestrian venues, hosting two major international events each year attracting 100,000 visitors from across the globe.
We are currently seeking a full-time Event Co-Ordinator to assist the Event Manager.
The most important factor for this role is the person, you always go the extra mile and pride yourself on outstanding guest service.
An enthusiastic, driven & experienced Event Manager.Purpose of Job/Key Objectives:
As a small team, the role will be quite diverse across all aspects of the business.
This will include dealing with enquiries, sales and marketing as well as being involved in the set-up process and operational side of the events including bar management and front of house supervision.
The Event Co-Ordinator will look to increase profit and efficiency whilst maintaining exceptional levels of guest service across all market segments.
A creative individual with a passion for events, responsible for enquiry handling, proposals, site visits, staff management and ensuring all events are perfectly executed from initial enquiry right through to the guest departure.
Principal Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
Create exceptional experiences for all guests in line with the Hickstead ethos.
Support the sales and booking of events.
Operational skills in delivering an event to a high standard
Coordinate the events booking/management system and records.
Ensure events are delivered to an exceptional standard, by ensuring detailed event schedules are prepared, and teams are briefed on guest needs.
Develop an events strategy moving forward
Have a strong understanding of the sales budgets and targets.
Skills:
Experience of successfully planning and delivering corporate/private events.
Experience of bar management including stock taking and bar set-up preferable
Excellent written communication skills for a variety of purposes, including proposals and function schedules.
Excellent verbal communication skills to deliver persuasive and effective presentations/site visits, networking, negotiations, internal communications, and relationship management.

Salary:
£17,280.46-£30,620.11 per year
