Highwray is a family run, independent care home which has been extensivley renovated to the highest standard. The Care and wellbeing of resdients and staff is at the heart of everything we do. All staff are treated as individuals and we have a very supportive, approachable and established management team.

Highwray goes above and beyond to ensure staff are happy and facilities are excellent and staff well-being is regularly discussed.

Management host weekly staff meetings to ensure staff voices are heard and positive changes can be made.

In return, we are looking for committed staff who have a genuine and caring nature. We require Senior care staff who can lead the team in carrying out the high standard of care prescribed. Ensuring care staff are follwing protocols and supporting junior members of the team.


Purpose of Position
NVQ 3 required.

To be a role model and lead the care team to meet the needs of residents and the service.

To be "person in charge" in the absence of management.


Principal Responsibilities
Assist care users as required, providing reassurance and comfort.

Answer emergency bells, assess the situation, deal with the client seeking help.

Administer of medication; to take full responsibility for this.

Contact and liaise with healthcare professionals as and when required.


Carry out regular checks around the home at intervals determined by the proprietor and with due regard for clients' privacy and individual client need.

Carry out regular checks on the building with special reference to fire protection.


In the time available between attending to care users, undertake domestic duties primarily in the fields of laundry and ironing or cleaning as directed.

Read and write reports in care plans.

Communicate with Staff Member coming on/off duty to ensure effective/appropriate transfer of information between Day and Night staff

Attend Senior Meeting.

£12.55-£12.75 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
LFD is symptomatic, covid restrictions have now eased and the care home has returned to usual practice


Education:


  • Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

Experience:


  • Medication administration: 1 year (preferred)
Health Care: 3 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving License (preferred)
