Are you passionate about working with young people?Are you passionate about the way in which animals can help us make sense of the world, and help us learn?
We are expanding, with a site near Guildford in Surrey and one near Liss in Hampshire.
This is new opportunity for the right person.
You will undertake a relevant qualification with an established learning provider, over an 18 month period, and have a whole friendly team to support you along the way.
Our specialism is supporting children and young people with complex SEMH needs.Learning Support Assistants will support children and young people to engage in the learning sessions, often supporting 1-1 and sometimes smaller groups.
You would need to demonstrate that you will be resilient enough to deal with the day to day challenges of working with children and young people with different needs, outside in all weathers.
This is a 3o hours per week, enabling you to have time and space to complete the apprenticeship in a way that works for you, though hours and timetables can be negotiated.
You will get up close with a whole range of animals every day, from walking goats and ponies, to undertaking animal care tasks with young people.
The key skill is how to engage children and young people who are often disengaged and struggle with motivation and building and maintaining positive relationships.

Job Requirement
The role holder will support a full range of learning, including Animal Assisted Therapeutic Activities, working with complex children and young people.
It will also involve getting significantly involved in animal care and everything we do on the farm to make sure the service runs smoothly.
Skills
Experience and Qualification
- Some experience of a consistent role in the area of working with children and young people (preferably 1 year full time position)
- Confidence and knowledgeable in caring for animals.
- Sound knowledge of Safeguarding and good professional boundaries is essential, though training will also be provided
- Ability to project a positive public image of self and the organisation whilst exhibiting a culture of outstanding service and high ethical standards.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English is essential
- Capable of establishing and maintaining constructive interpersonal relationships within the organisation.

£12,480.00 per year
