Job Title: Web Content Officer

Contract:

Maternity Cover, fixed term contract for 9-10 months, with a possibility of up to 11 months - 1 year.



  • The Bar Council represents the over 17,000 barristers in England and Wales. It promotes the Bar's high quality specialist advocacy and advisory services; fair access to justice for all; the highest standards of ethics, equality and diversity across the profession; and the development of business opportunities for barristers at home and abroad.
  • The Bar Council is the governing body and the Approved Regulator for the Bar of England and Wales. It discharges its regulatory functions through the independent Bar Standards Board.
  • The Web Content Officer will oversee and enhance the Bar Council's online presence (primarily through the main Bar Council website
  • To succeed in the role you will need to have extensive experience of website management through content management systems, knowledge of web analytics platforms, experience of working with website developers and strong communication and influencing skills. You should also have indepth knowledge of SEO and website user behaviour. Ideally you would also have experience of social media and online advertising management.
