Housing Officer


Our client, a well-respected local authority in
Somerset, is looking for an experienced
Housing Officer to join the team in delivering a comprehensive
housing management service to tenants.


Location:
Somerset (Hybrid working)


Duration:6 Months +


Hours:37 Mon to Fri (9am - 5:30pm)


Rate:
£18.48 via Umbrella

Responsibilities:


  • Carry out housing management duties including sign ups, change of tenancy type, sustainment and ending tenancies, for a patch of around 500 properties
  • Conduct Estate inspections and block inspections
  • Manage cases of low level antisocial behaviour
  • Carry out property checks and report any maintenance issues
  • Signpost and make referrals to other teams
  • Responsible for health and safety checks and identifying health and safety/fire risk issues in communal areas
  • Keep up to date with safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Promote selfservice and set up accounts for tenants

Essentials:


  • Relevant experience and knowledge in a housing management role
  • A current enhanced DBS
  • Current clean driving licence with access to a vehicle
