WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
SALARY £22K-£24K DOE

About the Role
While not handling incoming product, position supports the Distribution team with picking, packing and preparing products for shipment.
You will be responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS), co-authoring procedures and processes to support the QMS development.
Has responsibility to assure that a controlled system is used to accomplish quality processes and maintain regulatoryand procedural compliance.Receiving Duties and Responsibilities:
- Able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team, maintain good communication with other employees regarding relevant incoming items
- Follows established SOPs and work instructions
- Unload/Sign for/Inspect physical product that arrives on the dock per individual product requirements
- Mark/provide signage for incoming product per individual product requirements
- Physically allocate product to the appropriate areas of the building
- Process cost receipts for purchased product and cost/warehouse entry receipts for inventoried product
- Completes finished goods receipt process for inhouse produced materials
- Monitors anticipated deliveries report for incoming shipments and liaise with Procurement as required
Inventory Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain general organisation/cleanliness of inventory area
- Assists with inventory queries
- Count and consolidate items in the warehouse
- Carry out basic inventory duties, including cycle counting
Distribution Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick daily orders as required
- Pack and quality check orders that have been picked and delivered to the Distribution Line
- Minimum 2 years' warehouse experience preferred
- Computer Skills
- Knowledge and ability to use computerized software and systems relevant to warehousing preferred
- Knowledge of basic warehouse procedures like receiving and storing
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
- Detail oriented
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to carry out basic computations in arithmetic
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers, vendors, customers and other team members
