We are looking for an interim Senior Buyer for our client who is going through an exceptional period of growth and is looking to add to their team to continue this trajectory.

They are within the Engineering area and are looking for someone with a similarbackground to allow them to hit the ground running.

Based in Leicestershire, the role would be looking for someone with a strong procurement background, as well as coming from an Engineering or Manufacturing background, as a foundation of knowledge in this area would be desirable, though it would not needto be exact item specific.

You will be an experienced Senior Buyer, or at least an experienced Buyer that is looking for a Senior Buyer position.

You will need to have used Navision on a regular basis, while experience with castings/electronics/similar commodities would be advantageous.

The role would be based onsite 5 days a week in their offices, allowing you to get fully immersed and meaning that you can keep up to speed with everything that happens, so you would need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable tovarious situations as they occur.

We are looking at between £175-£225 per day for this role and expect it to last between 3-6 months, but could have potential for longer and even to become permanent for the right individual.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for procurement activities for components, goods and materials, ensuring excellent quality, best price and delivered in a timely manner
Act as liaison between internal and external stakeholders for optimum relationships
Identify market trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
Negotiate best price and quality for all goods and services
Produce reports only regular basis
Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Monitor supplier performance, reporting back to management and stakeholders on both issues and solutions
Engineering/Manufacturing background
Strong Procurement experience, ideally as a Senior Buyer, if not a strong Buyer
Desirable experience dealing with castings/forgings/electronics etc
Able to hit ground running and can work in a fastpaced environment
Must have experience using Navision
IT proficient
Ability to switch between working collaboratively and autonomously
