Please note this is a part time role (32 hours per week) working from home.

The key role of the Senior Ledger Clerk is to raise invoices using the Company's IT systems, raising accruals and monthly reconciliations to Sage.

The role also supervises 1 member of staff. This role is WFH with flexibility to travel to our head office in Raydon on occasion.

Key responsibilities

Form a close working relationship with the Commercial Director, Financial Controller, Sales Team and other members of the Accounts Team
Adherence to accounting timetables and reporting deadlines
Raising of monthly, weekly and daily invoices within Sage, including relevant analysis and backing schedules
Raising of adhoc recharges on request
Preparation of monthly accruals and subsequent reconciliations of designated nominal ledger accounts
Production of information to assist with the monthly management review meetings
Project analysis work, as required
Ability to liaise with Customers, as required
Assistance with yearend statutory accounts for the auditors
Supervision of Sales Ledger Clerk

Experience Required

Ideally AAT qualified or above.
Experience of reconciling accounts and raising monthly accruals for management accounts
Experienced with using Sage 200
Good Excel and data analysis skills
Supervisory experience

Please note this role is working 32 hours per week on a 6 month contract
