Description
Hales Group is looking for a Part TimeTrainee HR Assistant, to be based in Thetford, Norfolk.
Reporting to the HR Manager, the
Trainee HR Assistant will ensure the effective day-to-day HR support to the group-wide business and adherence to processes and metrics that support the achievement of the Company's business plans.
Key responsibilities
- Support the HR Department with general administrative duties.
- Learn and develop knowledge within employee relations element of Human Resources to eventually support the function in the administration of employee relations cases.
- Ensure accurate, timely completion of monthly payroll process for new starters, leavers and salary amendments
- Assist with employee satisfaction and retention initiatives
- Assist with new appointment process including issuing new contracts of employment
- Assist with induction and onboarding for new employees
- Ensure accurate and effective use of supporting software, including Nuvem HR system
- Continuously strive to improve the HR support to the organisation through expert advice and guidance to line managers
- Support the People Services department and provide any ad hoc administrative support as required
Desirable skills and qualifications
- GCSEs at Grade C or Above (or equivalent) In English Language and Mathematics.
- High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to display sensitivity to people issues.
- IT literate including intermediate level Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Keen to succeed and progress career.
- A team player
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility in approach to work in order to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility in relation to hours of work to meet the changing needs of the business.
