School Caretaker - Information about the roles


Remedy Education are working a large SEN school based in Lewisham who are looking for a Caretaker/Premises Assistant to work across the school.


Responsible for the security and facilities management services and to maintain a clean and hygienic site both internally and externally.

To routinely check equipment and materials and carry out minor maintenance, repairs and decoration i.e., painting/displays.
Porterage of deliveries as required, all with a close regard to health and safety. Working a rota system including evenings during the week, and if required, ad-hoc weekend work. This job purpose reflects the core activities of the post.

As the academy andthe post-holder develop, there will inevitably be some changes to the duties for which the post is responsible, and possibly to the emphasis of the post itself.

The academy expects that the post-holder will recognise this and will adopt a flexible approachto work.
