We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our sister company, Hinkler who are based in Australia.

You will work out of our head office in Bath and have a degree of flexibility around your schedule to be able to attend virtual meetings in Australia.


The Role


Reporting to Hinkler's Program Manager, the Product Administrator UK is responsible for being the ambassador for Hinkler products to Curious Universe UK Limited (CUL).

The core objective is to maximise sales opportunities for Hinkler branded products in the UK, Ireland, and Co-edition markets.

As a key liaison between CUL and Hinkler, this role is responsible for communicating information between the two businesses.

This includes communication of customer/sales requirements and providing important feedback loops across CUL and Hinkler sales, publishing, and production departments, ensuring alignment of the Hinkler program with CUL's Master Publishing Plan.


Main Responsibilities

  • 1. PRODUCT & PROGRAM_
  • Scope out new Hinkler project requirements from CUL via key account managers and/or the publishing team.
  • Complete fasttracks or pitch forms with input from Hinkler's Program Manager or Development Team
  • Communicate upcoming UK retailer promotions, opportunities, or sales meetings to Hinkler
  • Communicate feedback from UK customer meetings from CUL sales managers highlighting relevant information to Hinkler
  • Ensure CUL x Hinkler projects involving Hinkler content are well planned with commitments and highlight any problems/concerns and successes as soon as they are known
  • Arm the CUL sales & marketing team with the tools and materials to maximise sales of Hinkler products. This may include AIs, dummies, laminates, covers, mockups, NR presentation agendas, etc.
  • Develop a clear understanding on Hinkler's key brands and products, including backlist, front list, formats, and future publishing plans so you can be the fountain of knowledge on Hinkler products to the CUL team
  • Utilise Hinkler's ERP system, Power BI and Onix reporting to provide information and data analytics to support CUL Sales teams to sell Hinkler products
  • 2. COMMUNICATION_
  • Key contact between the Hinkler and CUL teams
  • Provide information promoting Hinkler products to the CUL team and action procuring information requested by the CUL team, supporting CUL to maximise revenue of the Hinkler product
  • Excel in developing the relationships with both internal teams and be relevant in promoting a collaborative team approach across cross functional departments
  • 3. ADMINISTRATION_
  • Provide updates on Hinkler's publishing program projects to CUL, including new projects, moved projects, updated covers, etc.
  • Setup regular meetings with the CUL Data Administrator to ensure that all Hinkler data on the CUL Master Publishing Plan is uptodate and correct
  • Attend weekly CUL UK catchup meeting with Hinkler's Melbourne team
  • Receive all Hinkler advances, circulating to CUL CEO, Creative Director and Publishing for feedback, to communicate back to Hinkler
  • Update and maintain product information integrity between both business and across both publishing databases
  • Project and product data entry into Hinkler's ERP system, Onix Edit, and coordination of final cover visuals for all CULmanaged Hinkler projects
  • Ensure the final files of CULmanaged Hinkler projects are received, saved, and archived on Hinkler's system
  • Under Program Manager's guidance, support in the review of CUL quarterly royalty reports which may include providing title data on assortments, highlight anomalies, missing products, etc.
  • Coordinate all sample requests and other general CUL enquiries back to Hinkler
  • Contribute to the documentation and improvement of processes and procedures within the department

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
years proven administration experience
