Description

We are looking for an exceptional individual to create content across the website and social media platforms at St George's, University of London.

With an increased social media presence and a new institutional brand recently launched, it is an exciting time to join the UK's specialist health university.


Your responsibilities will range from monitoring web and social media content to working across the University delivering compelling campaigns that expand the digital outreach of the University and share the story of St George's with our diverse audiences, including prospective and current students and staff, collaborators and research funders.


The postholder will be passionate about web content and social media, with a strong understanding of how to adapt approaches to different audiences and be able to increase the University's engagement with these varied groups.

The role will work closely with the Design Team to produce and publish compelling, tailored digital content, including written, graphical and video.


You will have excellent interpersonal skills, creativity, relationship building, planning and organisational skills, with a demonstrable ability to work with a wider team to convey information in a succinct and compelling way following digital best practice and quality standards.

Key attributes of the successful applicant include proven experience of:

  • Using a content management system (CMS)
  • Writing and editing for the web and social media
  • Managing social media channels for corporate use
  • Creating and evaluating engaging digital campaigns that meet the strategic aims of an organisation
  • Excellent communication skills; able to work with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and at all levels.
