Import Coordinator needed - Streamline Search are currently working with worldwide freight forwarding business. With over 350 clients ranging in diversity. These clients require highly skilled and reliable logistics solutions.


The role of Import Coordinator is based in Selby, the main purpose of this position to build relationships and develop client relationships to maximise business potential.


Import Coordinator - Position Overview

  • Managing the Sea freight consignments in transit through to successful completion and delivery.
  • Extensive client liaison, building relationships and maximizing the potential of the forwarding business.
  • Extensive supplier liaison to develop reliable and costeffective services to every Worldwide destination.
  • Calculating freight quotations.
  • Completing operational administration.
  • Raising all the appropriate documentation.
  • Invoicing out and completing the job files

Import Coordinator - Position Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' freight forwarding experience in Sea Freight.
  • Or Working in an Import Coordination role for a Manufacturer.
  • Knowledge and experience of shipping documentation, letters of credit, ATR, EUR's
  • Confident and clear communication skills.
  • Proven success of building customer and supplier relationships.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Numerate with experience of calculating freight quotations.
  • Good IT skills.

Import Coordinator - Position Remuneration

  • Salary £25,000 to £30,000
  • Working Hours 09:00 to 17:30
  • Holiday Entitlement 22 days (plus Bank Holidays)
  • Company Pension
  • Free Parking
