Job Purpose:


To assist the Supply Chain Manager to ensure that the business is working to an effective Production Schedule and champion on-time Delivery in full (OTDIF) delivery throughout the business.

Ensure that all money is spent professionally to obtain best value goods and services from suppliers with the correct capabilities.

Communicate effective and efficient internal logistics to protect the company's assets and support the on-time and efficient achievement of the manufacturing plan.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the supply of components/Services to meet Production Scheduling for efficient achievement of agreed customer deliveries
  • Manage supplier product/equipment price and availability
  • OTIF delivery to production of good material efficiently presented
  • Assist in continuous improvement of reduction in leadtime throughout the Supply Chain
  • Assist in continuous total cost reduction of boughtin goods and services (Choice of correct Supplier)
  • Protect the company's interests in all dealings with suppliers
  • Establish Aerotron Composites as customer of choice and protect business continuity
  • Fully comply with company policies including Health and Safety at all times
  • Booking logistics
  • Continually update Supply Chain information within computer system
  • Any other reasonable duties as and when required
  • Communicate with other departments within the Business
  • Ensure stock levels are correct to meeting contractual minimum requirements
  • Undertake supplier negotiations for existing and new programme demands
  • Ensure the product is delivered in accordance with specification, with delivery schedule and quantity

Key Skills:


  • Good computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Previous experience as a Buyer desirable or similar role
  • Selfmotivation and ability to resolve conflicting priorities and manage multiple projects/demands

You will be offered a full-time contract which comes with a competitive salary. The role is 40 hours per week. Standard shifts are 8 hour per day, Monday to Friday.
