Description
We're looking for an Electrical Operative to join our Highways team based in Stanford or Weatherhill to assist the Electrical Supervisor with the efficient and timely delivery of the Maintenance & Response (M&R) service requirements across the National Highways network.

Stanford (Folkestone, Kent) or Weatherhill (Smallfield, Surrey) Depots
Contract:
Fulltime - You will be working a rota of two weeks nights, two weeks days (Part-time hours available if desired, just let us know)
Salary:
£34.5k
Responsibilities
As an Electrical Operative, you'll be required to carry out defect rectifications, Damage to Network Property installations, carry out depot electrical operations, maintenance and improvement works, emergency response operations and support severe weather operations.
Your day to day will include:
- respond to incidents on the network within designated timescales ensuring relevant parties including the ROC and Network Hub are updated through use of appropriate communication systems, liaising with emergency services and ensuring traffic disruption is minimised, including safe isolation of electrical equipment.
- work within a team of electrical engineers and electrical operatives to deliver the service to the client and the wider M&R business to ensure electrical safety is paramount
What are we looking for?
This role of Electrical Operative is great for you if have:
- City & Guilds Electrical 236 pts 1, 2 or equivalent
- NHSS 8 Installation and Maintenance of Highway Electrical Equipment and supporting works
- Capable of working under pressure in within a safety critical role
- Full UK driving licence, HGV would be an advantage.
