Finance Business Partner

Circa £40k

40 Hours a Week

Role Purpose:


  • The purpose of the role is to support the business and work closely with the restaurant operational heads to create insightful analysis and drive business decisions. The role drives action and good decision making through quality analysis with clear presentation and conclusions, with the ultimate goal of improving BRG's profitability and efficiency.

Responsibilities:


The person in the role needs to create, update, and develop reports as well as provide detail and insightful analysis to drive decision making.

The person should be inquisitive, reliable in their work, and able to build effective networks across finance and the business.

The role needs the individual to develop excellent working relationships with the Leadership team members and be seen as a trusted partner.


Business support and reporting:


  • Partner with the operational heads to provide 'real time' support and analysis, to influence and challenge business decisions of business partners
  • Produce and report weekly P&Ls to the business and submit to group
  • Support the Head of Commercial Finance on business case modelling for new restaurants
  • Support on menu changes, managing the brand profitability model
  • Sales and margin analysis support for the brands

Monthly insight:


  • Work closely with the management accounts team to understand and gather information required for analysis
  • Analyse the monthly financial results and monitor adherence to budgets & forecasts

Financial planning:


  • Support the business in the forecasting and budgeting process
  • Develop action plans for cost saving initiatives and support the business to achieve them

Person Specification:


  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Happy to be hands on and work as a team to get the job done

Qualification required:


  • Part Qualified Accountant with strong academic background including A levels and Degree

Experience required:


  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is mandatory

Competencies & Skills:


  • Ability to overcome challenges and present solutions
  • Strong allround communication skills including delivery and presentation of information to all levels of finance
