Are you looking for your next career move into the world of specialty insurance? We are currently recruiting for an Underwriting Assistant position to join the Aviation and Space team at HDI Global Specialty, a London Market Specialty (Re)insurance provider.

What are the key accountabilities and duties of this role?

Data entry of all policy types, endorsements, declarations and correspondence
Calculation of premiums and adjustments for data entry
Work within the suitable workflow ensuring appropriate policy health and duration
Support of Underwriting where required
Licence/Sanction checks as may be required
Submission/quote scanning where required
Technical accounts support including credit control and data quality monitoring

Provide professional and courteous service & support to team Brokers, HDI Branch networks & clients

Make suggestions for process improvements within your role

Project Management

Support any functional projects

Reporting

Run and check reports as required
Analysis of data and/or preparing reports for own & underwriters purpose

Risk and Controls

Implement and maintain process controls to ensure the quality of the output of your area within the function. Ensure documentation of the processes and output is accurate, uptodate and accessible

Support all other functional activities as required, including project-related work
Adhere to all local and Group guidlines

Confidence in working independently to solve problems.

Rudimentary understanding of Insurance and Aviation would be an advantage.
