New year, new career challenge? We are eager to speak with Land Surveyors looking to take their career to the next level.


We have a fantastic opportunity available to join our client, a family-run Civil Engineering Contractor, who predominantly specialise in groundworks for housing developments across Central Scotland.

Based in West Calder, they're looking to add a Land Surveyorto join their growing team.


As an experienced Land Surveyor your role will be to carry out topographic surveys and associated aerial land surveys through to analysis.

Ariel Survey experience is desirable, however is not essential as full training can be provided,


Your key responsibilities will include

  • Undertaking topographic Surveys
  • Establish/Interrogate Control Networks
  • Prepare volumetric calculations
  • Present data and reports at in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Undertaking aerial surveys whilst operating a multirotor UAV.
  • Pre aerial survey flight planning and post flight data management.
  • Regular liaison with both the client and management.

Background/ Experienced required:


  • Previous experience within a similar role within the Civil Engineering sector within groundworks is desirable but training will be given.
  • Competent with all aspects of CAD software.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Land Survey experience.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible to meet the working demands of the construction industry.
  • Must have good problemsolving skills.
  • Full UK driving license.

Desirable:


  • GVC or Operational Authorisation CAA Certification holder.
  • Experienced in UAV mapping and photogrammetry software.
