We are looking for a motivated
Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team.


Reporting to our Senior Accountant and working closely with our Finance Assistant (Purchase Ledger) this role is help to deliver an effective financial accounting service to the Charity; supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance function.


Key responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for purchase ledger activities including:

  • Coding and VAT rates (accounting review)
  • Aged creditors review,
  • Supplier statement reconciliation,
  • Investigating purchase queries,
  • Preparing BACS payment
  • Credit card processing
  • Journal posting
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Purchase order processing

What we're looking for:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers
  • Flexible approach to work
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to work on own initiative
  • Strong team player, willing to assist other team members
  • Experience in a finance background, ideally 1 year minimum
  • Training towards AAT qualification is desired or can be offered

What we can offer you**:

  • Salary from £22,955 up to £25,506 per annum (FTE), dependant on experience
  • Working hours are 22.5 per week, over 3 days (Wednesdays to Fridays)
  • Office based at the Hospice in Brentry, with options for hybrid working
  • Permanent role
