We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced transport planner to work here at Titan Concrete.

We are looking for a transport planner preferably from the construction sector with experience in dispatching ready mix concrete and aggregates.

You will be based at our office in Birtley, County Durham and you will be responsible for coordinating our ready mix concrete operation.

This role demands a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.


The role of the transport planner will involve:

• Speaking to customers on a daily basis, taking orders for delivery of ready mix concrete and aggregates to the construction industry and the general public.
• Scheduling jobs to ensure efficiency and to suit the needs of our customers.
• Distributing work to our drivers through our scheduling system.
• Ensuring compliance with driving hours legislation.
• Actively participating in promoting the business and helping to drive sales.
• Managing relationships with key customers.
• Coordinating with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the business.

The transport planner should have:

• Strong organisational skills.
• Good communication abilities.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• A background in the construction industry or in transport planning.
• Good customer service skills.
• A problem solving mentality.

Pay:
£30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
