What is the Intelligent Industry Placement Programme?


Our 11-month programme running from September August 2024, provides an insight into working at the cutting edge of Engineering, Supply Chain, Business and Technology transformation.

You will embark on a challenging and exciting journey to help our clients change the way they work, behave, and achieve their goals.

You'll have the opportunity to work on a range of consulting projects, enabling you to develop core skills and gain hands-on experience from industry leaders.

This is the ideal opportunity to showcase your professional abilities at Capgemini, with the potential to be invited back to join the Accelerate Programme once you finish your degree.

You will have the opportunity to work within a variety of sectors and client facing roles such as connected manufacturing, process excellence and sustainable operations.


You will begin to create relationships across the organisation and acquire a foundation of consulting skills, tools and methodologies to help you accelerate your career.

You will be part of a project team, building trust-based relationships at the heart of a client's organisation, helping them change the way they work and transform their business to achieve their goals.

Who you'll be working with?


Our Intelligent Industry team focus on the evolution of Industry 4.0, transforming products, operations, and services into sustainable, connected, intelligent, data & insight driven ecosystems.

Intelligent Industry leverages a human-centric approach to transform and reinvent our ways of working, our connection with each other and our customers and suppliers.

Impacting sectors as diverse as Consumer Products & Retail, Energy & Nuclear, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Automotive, Services and more, unleashing new ways of doing business powered by data and technology.


Eligibility

  • Open only to undergraduate students in a sandwich year course returning to study in Autumn 202
  • You should be studying for a degree relevant to the role (for example, but not limited to, Analytics, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Management, Mathematics, Physics, Supply Chain)
  • At the time of starting employment, you must have the independent right to work in the UK

What you will need?

  • A passion for problem solving and eager to optimise and increase the effectiveness of operational models that increase value for businesses
  • Natural curiosity about how technology can solve business and world problems
  • An interest in any of our target sectors where we work with leading multinational companies (Consumer Products & Retail; Energy, Utilities & Nuclear; Manufacturing, Automotive & Life Sciences; Financial Services; Public Sector)
  • A curiosity to learn more about emerging and innovative technology such as: AI, IoT, Edge Computing, 5G, digital twins and more
  • A strong desire to work in a fastpaced environment alongside internal and external client stakeholders to articulate the value of using intelligent data to customers as a key part of any business growth and transformation strategy
  • The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to come up with the best solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in a professional manner
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and undertake various administrative duties
  • Strong MS Office skills
