  • Minimum 5 years experience of handling Technical personal injury claims
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a capable and confident negotiator
  • Time management and organization skills
  • The ability to manage their time effectively and demonstrate great attention to detail
  • Be capable of assessing evidence and making strong commercial decisions
  • Have a proven track record in dealing with fasttrack and multitrack bodily injury claims including liability disputes.
  • A good knowledge of indemnity, liability and quantum issues will also be useful
  • Thorough understanding of.
  • Personal injury claims (MOJ/Scottish and fast track)

  • Secondary education with qualifications in Maths and English, or demonstrable ability in numeracy skills & written English.

About the job:


  • Monday-Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Salary: £30,000
  • Assessing indemnity, investigating liability and quantum on motor claims, ensuring that each claim is dealt with thoroughly to limit indemnity spend
  • Communicating professionally to ensure our policyholders are treated fairly and that the customer receives worldclass customer service in accordance with industry and company guidelines.
  • Proactively managing a caseload ensuring that correspondence and tasks are dealt within the SLA's
  • Negotiating settlement of thirdparty claims
  • Improve customer claims experience by identifying process/control gaps in legal defence panel performance and agreeing relevant actions.
  • Maintaining a high degree of technical knowledge and to keep abreast of market and legal updates
  • Support cost, service, and process efficiency projects across the department, as well as participating in departmental projects.
  • Maintain resilience and composure to remain positive under pressure and in changing circumstances
  • Demonstrate a desire to take ownership of your work and maintain excellent attention to detail
  • Constantly seek and communicate improvements in how we deliver excellent customer service.
  • Undertake any individual or team task in line with the company values
  • Ensure a relevant level of technical understanding with continuous development and learning.
