OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support, ensuring all processes are implemented effectively and standards of performance are attained
  • 3rdParty Storage Communicate and liaise with a 3rdparty contractor to ensure the smooth operational requirements of our satellite warehouse
  • Liaise with the internal sales and procurement team and communicate to external customers
  • Manage & control the flow of all the warehouse deliveries including vehicles, this includes ambient products
  • Manage the calendar both inbound and outbound whilst building relationships with customers and haulage to ensure a smooth operation
  • Administer the booking in and out process; controlling the paperwork and input details in Sage
  • Assist with spot stocktakes as required
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, reporting all findings to the Warehouse Manager
  • Provide all relevant documentation and information to team ready for incoming deliveries and outgoing loads
  • Follow the traceability process for BRCGS
  • Provide a professional, courteous and efficient service to all cash and carry customers, ensuring the EPOS process is followed and all payments are accurately recorded
  • Process all cash and card payment transactions for event customers who come to site
  • Manage & file all Warehouse paperwork effectively
  • Look for continuous improvement within the processes and procedures
  • Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, ensuring all company safety and quality systems are followed and all relevant legislation complied with, raising concerns and reporting any incidents or suggestions to your line manager
  • Ensure all processes relating to the BRCGS standard for storage and distribution are complied with and documented.
  • Take into consideration sustainable solutions and best practices to ensure we take responsibility for reducing our impact on the environment and support the companywide sustainability strategy_._
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED


Essential

  • Good numeracy and literacy ability (minimum GCSE Level B in Maths and English)
  • Customer focussed and service orientated
  • Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent planning and time management skills with ability to meet exacting deadlines and prioritise appropriately
  • Ability to multitask under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fully conversant with EPOS/WMS, and demonstrable experience in efficient stock management
  • Previous warehouse and multitemperature experience

Desirable

  • Sage Line 50 experience
