Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching: The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering clinical teaching sessions to Newcastle University medical students attached to Newcastle Hospitals as part of the Tyne Base Unit.

The Trust has a role in the delivery of teaching to all 5 years of the undergraduate MBBS programme but most of the teaching will be delivered to students in years 3, 4 and 5.

The Trust undergraduate team consists of a group of enthusiastic clinicians under the leadership of Assistant Director of Medical Education Dr Simon Hill, supported by Teaching Fellow Lead Dr Andrew Bowey and an invaluable team of administrative staff.

We will offer support and supervision over the year as well as training and mentorship so that you develop your own teaching skills and understanding of wider issues in medical education.
