Your New Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Traveling Caretaker/Janitor to join our Glasgow Schools account based at Lourdes Secondary School 47 Kirriemuir Avenue Glasgow G52 3DF.This role is on-site based.
The salary is:
£11.27 Per hour
Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Glasgow Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 30 schools (Europe's largest educational Private Finance Initiative).

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.
Caretaker/Janitors play an important part in facilitating the smooth running of the premises, providing support for a safe and efficient operation whilst ensuring all customer requirements are met.
The standard hours of work are 40

Shift pattern:
Week 1 Monday to Friday
Week 2 Monday to Friday and Saturday
Covering all schools across Glasgow Contract.

You will be responsible for:
- Ensure smooth running of the school premises
- Carrying out daytoday DIY/maintenance and minor repairs (i.e., furniture fixtures, wall repairs)
- To ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly
- Daily responsible to check that all doors and windows are locked when the building is not in use
- Checking the premises to guard against vandalism
- Arranging chairs and tables for meetings or assemblies and clearing away afterwards
- Litter picking and general clearing of external areas

We want to hear from you if you have:
- Knowledge and previous experience in practical DIY skills for minor repair
- Good Team Player
- Flexible with shift work
- Good at developing strong working relationships with onsite client and employees
- This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
- Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract
