General Operative Person - Groundsman:

Bouygues Energies & Services Solutions - Middlesborough

We have a great opportunity for
General Operative Person - Groundsperson in the Middlesbrough area.


Key Activities

  • To carry out groundworks for street lighting.
  • To ensure that the quality of works meets the Customer Standards and requirements

Skills, qualifications, and experience

  • Good communication skills
  • Hard working and committed to the role
  • To set up site in accordance with Chapter 8 of NRSWA Street Works Code of Practice
  • Ability to work on own initiative whilst maintaining a good quality output.
  • Be able to identify risks on site and report back to line management
  • Full driving Licence
  • Carry out groundworks for street lighting activities, e.g., trenching and reinstating, installation of chambers, digging holes for columns, pulling cable etc.
  • To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans
  • To undertake such other duties, appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department / Service. Significant permanent changes in duties will require agreed revisions to be made to this Job Description
  • Previous experience of working within a street lighting role
