Sole Gardener required

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, hardworking, and knowledgeable Sole Gardener on a beautiful small private estate in Hertfordshire.

Implementing their strong plant knowledge, alongside good hands-on horticultural skills, the Sole Gardenerwill be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the gardens and grounds of approximately 10 acres in size.

The Sole Gardener will have a hands-on role in all areas of the gardens and grounds featuring lawns, formal beds, herbaceous borders, topiary, box hedging, a glasshouse, a pond area with planting and a large paddock.

In accompaniment to these responsibilities, the Sole Gardener will also be responsible for general repairs and maintenance across the estate, the monitoring of both the Septic and Oil tanks on site and subsequent management of external contractors when required.

Applicants for this position will be organised and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise and plan their workload throughout the seasons, working with the owners and using their eye for detail to enable the very best results possible.

£42,000
