***- The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a Midday Assistant at Discovery Academy, Porlock Avenue, Hattersley, SK14 3LE

• To start: June 2024
• Midday Assistant fulltime salary £22,36
• This is a permanent, parttime role, 6.25 hours a week, Term Time Only with an actual salary of £3,323 (TMBC Grade A, Points 2)
• The role will be for 1 hour 15 minutes per day, Monday to Friday.
• Our Trust's vision is to support young people to develop the aspiration, motivation and to be successful; we have high ambitions for all young people in our academies and all roles at our Academy are central to ensuring that we work to support this.
• The Local Governing Board of Discovery Academy wish to appoint a willing, enthusiastic and caring Midday Assistant to supervise, help and play with pupils during the lunchtime break in the playground and dining areas of the Academy.
• Midday Assistants assist pupils during the lunch break, working as part of a team.
• To ensure that the lunch session is controlled and pupils are managed in terms of

behaviour and safety.- To look after the welfare of the pupils in connection with hygiene, table manners,

general behaviour and assist any children with eating difficulties.- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

• Deal with hazards to prevent accidents.
• Supervise the safety of children at all times.
• Make senior leaders aware of any issues or accidents to ensure that the children are

managed in a safe environment at all times.- Supervise the children at play after they have left the dining hall and organise games

for younger children.- Administer First Aid if necessary (training provided)

• Attend any training, which the Principal may consider appropriate to the role.
• Carry out any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Principal relating to the

supervision of children.
