This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified or experienced Band 5 Theatre Practitioner to join the operating theatre team at Lincoln and District Hospital part of United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT). The successful candidates will be predominantly scrub based.
However, Candidates who have Anaesthetic skills alongside their scrub skills are also welcome to apply, as there is scope for these candidates to rotate across the surgical and anaesthetic specialities.
Hours will be from 08:00 hours to 20:00 hours to include weekends and night duties and an on call.
The Operating Department has 12 Theatres, which provide services for General Surgery, Colorectal, Breast, Gynaecological Day Case, Urology, ENT, Maxillo-Facial, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics, Trauma, Elective and specialist Orthopaedic surgery.
You will work as part of the Multi-professional theatre team to provide care during the delivery of clinical services. The role requires the planning and delivery of own work load, organizing equipment and resources as service demands and in accordance with policies and protocols.
Continuation of professional development is expected through post registration study. The role requires an ability to work on own initiative within the appropriate legal requirements, acts, policies, procedures and guidelines. The role requires a level of autonomy to practice governed by the code of professional conduct.
Theatre experienced practitioners with a knowledge of health and safety, infection control and moving and handling.
